There are multiple sides about reading this move:
-Trump to suspend it due to it being too "liberal"...then getting congress to make it again with "conservative" values...?
-USAID being defunded....this means that someone or something (at least supportive of the Republican party/Agenda/Trump wants to defang America? Would make since due to many different agendas by foreign entities want to Make America Suffer More. USAID suspension will leave a hole in foreign relations and this will take a longer term toll than what we know about today.
-Will foreign Relations normalize without USAID? Probably not, just shift due to a vacuum of power...who or what will replace it? Chinese or Russian version of USAID....CAID or RAID?
-Will "Deep State" reassert its power in a different way? An internal strike? (I hope not, but would not surprise me)
I have ran out of items to type, but maybe what Trump did was a somewhat "good" thing. Maybe the best move would have been for Trump to usurp the USAID in a more subtle way then plug in the Republican party into it so that it would reflect Republican party values globally rather than the "Deep State?" Shutting it down might be a mistake than the other opportunities that Trump could have with it....? This is more of a question for me than an answer, but lets see what happens.
