Dear FTC
Dear Federal Trade Commission and subsequent agencies:
My name is Anthony and I am a viewer of YouTube
(youtube.com) (To be clear, I am NOT a video publisher and older than 18 years
of age as a North Carolina and American Citizen. I am also a frequent voter.)
Recently, The Federal Trade Commission has (FTC) signed a
prosecution deal with youtube.com (a google and alphabet company) to be stricter
with youtube (with a 170 Million Dollar fine) about targeting videos for
children (or at least kids have access to such videos.) Although law
enforcement agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission does not think viewers
do not notice; they and I do.
At this time, many content creators of youtube are “freaking
out” about how to comply with COPPA and the FTC’s various rules with YouTube’s
guidelines without attracting children let alone the attention of the FTC’s
power to fine 42,000 dollars per video per creator that violates the terms.
Such sums of money, the grayness of the law and artificial intelligence that can
interoperate a video, and channel deletion.
Many content creators on youtube.com do NOT see the
information collected from users (no matter the age), only youtube can see it.
It can be argued in court of law, that content creators are NOT operators because
content creators are not collecting the data that YouTube uses to suggest advertisements.
COPPA does not fully affect me as a viewer but it does interrupt
the enjoyment that I receive as a viewer of the available content online.
Especially when it is in joint concert of the executive branch of the United
States and Google’s goals to make YouTube a primary broadcaster akin to Federal
Communication Commission rules; and, YouTube is nothing more than a scheme to
bilk and use the system to “enslave” by deception content creators for the profits
of a few. Overall, many viewers abandoned or dropped cable/satellite or broadcasting
of the television for the sake of the freedom that internet video viewing can
provide. Regulations such as COPPA is equivalent to the censorship rules that
viewers like me wanted to abandon because it constrained the creativity that
television creators wanted to avoid.
Lastly, the FTC’s tactics are probably against the bill of
rights. No matter the technology that allows communication to happen, the bill
of rights (specifically the first amendment of the United States’ Constitution)
that is not constrained to age of a person; therefore, when congress created
COPPA did so in violation of the right to free exercise thereof and abridging
the freedom of speech. Yes, COPPA violate the First Amendment because it forces
the executive branch at advisory of Congress to abridge speech per the age of
the audience. Thus, as a viewer of YouTube and other internet websites, I view
COPPA’s enforcement measurement as per the Executive Branch as FTC actions to
be a form of censorship that is not warranted even if it is though public or private
contract intimidation.
A subsequent solution to all of this is to redefine or reengineer
the process of collecting user data. Part of government’s job is to help those become
compliant, not just be police. YouTube (and google) have an effort to place as
well as the executive branch and its subsequent parts of the United States’ government.
It is therefore advisable, as an American Citizen, for the Executive branch of
the United States to help YouTube (in legal capacity) design a system to separate
the information gathering process of its users into two bins. One bin is compliant
of COPPA and the other bin is COPPA incompliant but destroyed so the data can
be and is compliant (or any other process that helps YouTube be compliant
without affecting the creativity of Content Creators.) [In other words, COPPA’s
enforcement is a way to create censorship by filtering the messenger’s meaning
that a website and its content can represent. Viewers of such content are
therefore infringed upon by not being able to see what the creator was trying
to communicate and is therefore government abridging the freedom of such
speech.] Part of such process, is that email can and should be used to be
acceptable to the FTC as compliance for any internet actor as akin to facsimile
that COPPA wants for parental notification and consent. Finally, individual
channels on YouTube may have to file lawsuits for injunctions of FTC and COPPA
law for review the channel to state that the intent of the channel is NOT for
children and is for the appropriate age range that COPPA allows the collection
of individual internet user’s information.
I should disclaim that I understand what law enforcement is
truly trying to do: enforce the law AND stop people who prey on children (and subsequent
families.) As per COPPA and the court of law, that COPPA’s goals are acceptable
to me, it is the way and leadership that the FTC and businesses that COPPA
affects in a negative way. Because of this negative effect, I do see this as
another factor that can cause a recession of utility of users (creators or
viewers) of YouTube AND such effects can contribute to the negative effects of
current demographics many investors use for investing into the American economy
(both YouTube’s advertisers AND the broader economy that can affect gross
domestic product.) Also, this will place a strain on the American judicial system
as it is expected that the FTC and justice department will prosecute violators
and have cases eventually heard in trial, appellate, and maybe the supreme
court of the United States.
Overall, the FTC should tone down the enforcement of COPPA
or face multiple lawsuits (or class action lawsuits) for injunctions due to
channel classification that is NOT targeting children; FTC and the Executive
Branch should be helping firms or website developers find solutions to be compliant
instead of punitive fines, a justification to effectively censor, or both.
This letter was also forwarded to my House Representative
and both of my Senators.

The President's Quid Pro Quo (will make America Bankrupt (not a good thing)))
[I, tonyotag, began to write this about 2-4 weeks ago (near beginning of October 2019, when these events were happening. [If you see caps with "EDIT" then it is information primary after the main portion is written.]]
For all of antiquity, a safe haven of money and wealth where it is placed into good use is important and was and still is sought after by humankind. The current system today is only a way to part the wealth into a shell game of who has what when and who gets what when. Such investments in the past are and were safe such as nation states that would "reinvest" the money into society and the circulation of money would provide a pacifier for the advancement of the citizens the goverment oversees (to watch over.) Likewise, this plan itself is now a target to apprehend as a way to claim a goverment as an asset. (Governments original intent is a long story; overall, it is a trade between the makers and the protectors for an armistice from violence from one another. Both political parties represent the microcosm worldwide of this trade.)
Overall, the duties and plan for an investment's portfolio's returns are itself a maintenance fee. Such fee should be of existence of all portfolios (of large and small) and that does include national states, the Earth (or planet,) solar system, galaxy, universe, etc... Therefore, any method to remove the productive components from receiving the surplus produced is itself a way to define slavery of any portfolio. Summarize the idea that a person, firm, or country is itself a portfolio; thus, how to take the means of production away from the people (individually or collectively) as long as they think they are receiving the benefits of such production. That is the threat that humanity faces.
Where is this threat? Is it space pirates (they have a moon.) Is it a person with great power like the president (as of Trump it is of indebtedness to pull his strings as a puppet?) Is it a private consortium of people or families that are bent to rule the world (most probable with estates and probate trusts.) Of these questions, it is my conclusion that the financial terrorism and bankruptcy of America is afoot to subjugate Americans (as well as the world population into sub-servitude to servants of a larger and more aggressive trans-national organization.)
The evidence is not strong, I must admit; however consider the following scenario:

The current system today is only a way to part the wealth into a shell game of who has what when and who gets what when. Overall, the duties and plan for an investment's portfolio's returns are itself a maintenance fee. Therefore, any method to remove the productive components from receiving the surplus produced is itself a way to define slavery of any portfolio. Years ago there was a company that said that it was converting plastic into fuel (diesel or gasoline /fossil fuels) with a patented chemistry process. Where did that company go? I remember seeing it ten to twenty years ago on TV or on youtube when it was younger and edgier. The company may have been discovered to be doing illegal activities, bought out by the petorlioum industry, ect...????

Most "developed" countries are guided by a military industrial complex owners to manipulate the demand and supply. any tax creates dead weight loss. The more tax types, the more the dead weight loss types and more statistical significance of not being able to find the true reason why someone choosing (or not choosing) something (to purchase or save) per their utility basket. Additionally, the more tax types or dead weight loss types, it just seems that it can create a fog-of-war where households, firms, and goverment will have a harder time finding each other's utility pattern, thus creating more problems then solving.
The thing with Yang's UBI from VAT plan is that it is another tax layer that increases the complication of taxes and therefore reduces the likelyhood of households and firms from interpreting the best plan for their objectives. It may be better to have a national sales tax or just raise income tax to raise the funds.
We economists measure things differently. Yes money is used as a measurement, but utility is best to measure per individual (person, not corporation.) What one does with the money is always at risk of regulation, the real question is who's regulation; a VAT will add one more question to 1099 income source earners and firms that must ask when that VAT regulation would apply and it is my guess that there might be a minimum threshold to apply the tax at a practical level.
By the way, the reason a national sales tax or VAT has a harder time in working is because of the nature of the IRS investigating more firms or people that need to pay it.

I am NOT for a Value Added Tax to pay for a "freedom dividend." VAT's will decrease employment possibilities due to a disguised national sales tax and the way it would shut down value adding businesses chain. There is no real need for an additional "tax" type in the system when income tax can be raised for the same effect a universal basic income can provide. A UBI is ok because of the need to shorten the distance between the common american citizen and the federal reserve's discount window for the economy to grow.

Over the past several days I have noticed that my views per post has upticked to 5 from 3 per post.

I, tonyotag, will do more posts in the future regardless of number of views. I do this out of the charity of my work, science, Earth, and my conviction that we the human race have been hoodwinked out of many innovations and progress into space over the years.
Some of my posts are about UFO's and science; and, no matter how skeptic you are about such a subject, one must think that if such a visitation would occur, would the public at large really be told?
Would the public at large be told about the innovations that some guy (or gal) down the street invented that could obsolete fossil fuels let alone wind and solar power generation?
You must ask these basic questions versus the fundamental reason that the courts protect their viewpoints (and the constitution) from the contract between the powerful and the labor they command.
An old contract that is disgusting when evaluated from a basic principles of biology and engineering for prosperity of humanity on Earth and the cosmos. In fact, we might be the rabbits of the universe, meant to colonize every nook and cranny of the solar system, galaxy, universe, and countless many realities that have yet to be discovered. Remember this as you read what I post.
Some information that I post will be circumstantial evidence that is hard to prove. Other information will be conjecture. Otherwise, I really like to stay with fact and statistics to prove that the circumstantial evidence is not just "conspiracy theory" but just that willing to investigate further.
The one negative of doing so is causing a way to point out the method or evidence is itself a way for now or the future to recolonize something that has yet to be though of (like a new idea) and get into the wrong hands (like an evil plan or something along those lines.) Overall, I (tonyotag) am not advocating violence, suicide, or other means of destruction or subjugation (or Orwellian slavery) from the discovery of such information, just passing the word along in hopes it finds good hearts and fellow spiritually minded people/earthlings (Jedi) to make the best effort to stop such abuse of the original contract between the haves and have nots (wealthy and poor; aristocrats and plebeians; officials and citizens.)
The help that is desperately needed in this world is a way to end the suffering (or that suffering that is perceived thereof) from killing or enslaving innovators; abusive macroeconomic relationships, and lying for the sake of public acceptance of the lie for the sake of maximizing profits and intrusive goverment behavior. Note that I also consider private organized systems (such as corporations) to be governments if and only if that is the prevailing entity that orders people out of fear of loss or fear of gain. Finally, the help that is needed is knowing that the law and constitution of the United States is only that of a contract between those that have and have not of wealth; but, that of logic that maximizes the cooperation between the formally educated and those who learned on the street (wild) and gained the wisdom of nature in the process.
I, tonyotag, will only stay humble and say I too am still learning; but know that the "book smarts" and "street smarts" must be cohesive in order to maximize a populations effective practical net worth of society. Such ideas are necessary to instill a ship from drowning in the sea from mutiny and that is in such what could be happening by something on this world for Earth to fail. Help humanity to help earth from capsizing in the sea of space and time.
