*Many of these degrees are quite useless related to our current technological status. Keep in mind that some of them (like sociology and biology) might be too general for the current market. It might be better to specialize in a skill. Example would be what was discussed in the video: biology degree for a person who is going to get a masters in pharmacology, etc...
Also, our current economy's debt/GDP ratio along with management (pollical) goals might not be lining up with what you want, so the value (or real compensation) of the employment type decreases over time. This is why good management with low debit to income ratio is important; it keeps the labor market and what it values correct to the population's wishes.
