*Tablets are cheaper than daycare. ....
"Working people do not have the time to raise a child. Only rich people can have kids." -True but dangerous for human civilization.
What I, tonyotag, posted:
Parents are to blame (mostly.)The TV with nature programing and natural sciences with some learning things is what I watched (mid 1990's though early 2000's.) So, what is the difference? The Blue screen and parents that are too busy to orient their kid to proper educational materials. Sure, it is a applied knowledge issue; but maybe it is also incentives. Tablets make who money? Smartphones make who money? The rich who can afford private school. Are the teachers complaining here public school? If so then I want to hear a balanced approach that would apply to both public and private school that a home school parent would say, "sure I can do that."
We need a better politics in this country to create a better educational environment for our kids and civilization. Vouchers for tax money going to private schools is not a solution, it is planning for class warfare and class segmentation; especially if private schools have a better k-12 system than public.
PS. Blue screens are shown to mimic Earth's daylight in the human brain, therefore creating an addictive feeling to stay awake....and keep scrolling, keep playing, keep going..... We have a sleep-awake cycle disbalance because of the wrong technology to growth and responsibility model.
