*(Sorry for the book here but this is what I really see is happening at least from every economic downturn....)
When Governance (not government) distrusts the people it governs, even with direct money payments; then, you realize 2007-08 bailouts were an example of kleptocracy from plutocrats because they know better. (In other words, economic gymnastics into meritocracy order of illusion of safety in investment firms or (investment) banking meritocracy is better than the general population en masse deciding where to put their money, while at the same time espousing libertarian reasoning to justify the bailouts. These kleptocrats/plutocrats are hypocritic-pirates stealing from the general masses of the United States via their government and hiding it in accounting and finance. It is financial tyranny and this situation deserves its own phrase of government so humanity does NOT do this again. Give the money directly to the people so they can do what they want. governance does NOT equal government; government is a tool we all have as an action from the way we govern our selves internally, externally, collectively, and individually. )
This is the reason why people voted for Trump Checks AND Biden tried to copy him. People know this, the people in power just do not want to let their middlemen to lose power over us. (Disclaimer: I did not vote for Trump in either election, I am just saying...)
