*There are ways to release to the public, they just don't want to try. There are security features of physical buildings. We have nuclear power, just not any person can enter, it takes credentials. Proper governing has been lost in this conversation. Maybe being transported can be like going to the airport or carnival ride, etc.... We need better governance than the opinion of "we cannot release that."
We can release it in a structured way, to reduce or eliminate risk. Access is the issue for most (not all) technology.
