President Trump is Minority President

Although it is a razor thin margin, Trump only lost the popular vote by ab out 100-150 thousand votes to Hillary. That is why the Electoral College is needed to be updated every 5 years instead of 10 due to how transitory the population is. It is possible that certain elietes got wind of what was happening and decided to change people's jobs around a few years ago when the election cycle was just starting up, but it all depends upon portfolio.

All in all, Trump is a minority president, just like Bush Jr. in the 2000 election.

Populism is a dangerous game and Trump might spoil the butter for the Republicans. (Note that it takes a long time to spoil butter.)
